Tulips in a square glass this time. I tried to use the transparent liner for a different effect. Wanted to experiment and see.Now you tell me, how does it look?

Peacock - Our Masterpiece

Our Peacock.. It was done by Sushmita, Varsha and me. It now hangs proudly in Sushmita's new home.

As Sush grandma commented to us: the time we spent doing this painting was memorable indeed. We lodged ourselves in her house for the greater part of two weeks during odd hours of the day and got it done. We haven't done anything as big as this before, so it is our masterpiece.. I can't take my eyes off it.. I hope you can't too :)

One of my earlier paintings. It is evident from the the not so neat work. But it has a very special place for me. I gave it as a gift to one of my closest friends. Hope it is appreciated :) 

Circular Tulips

Tulips flowers.. 

One of my favorite patterns that can be done on fabric or glass. I tried to do this on a circular glass plate. I have done another version of the same pattern. But the specifics of this one is that i have done this with black liner on a circular glass.

Abstract design

One of the abstract designs that i enjoyed doing. No specific dimension, then again i guess thats is what abstract designs are all about.

Rajastani ladies

Done with mirror work and jewellery designs done with stone work. It is an oil painting which encompasses many techniques. This type of painting is called as a Rajasthani mural. It has a three dimensional effect with the mirrors and the stones. More elaborate work can be done on the painting. I have used oil colors alone, that is how i was able to bring out the shadings and different colors.

I have such great happiness in filling out the colours after the outline has been done, that is my favorite part. And I learnt it all with this one.

You know I just love doing these paintings, specially when i am left all alone to do it. The peace and calm at home allows me to go ahead and do my paintings. Well I gave this as a gift to one of my friends. I love experimenting and this was the first time i did a big picture for glass painting and that too on textured glass.
